AI Stocks in 2024
Wall St. Institutions, along with retail investors, are always searching of the next big thing. And over the past 10 years the next big thing has always been new technology.
However in 2023 to 2024 the newest technology to dominate Wall Street’s imagination is Artificial Intelligence, aka AI.
In the world of AI, there are 2 dominant forms of Artificial Intelligence that investors are focused on:
The first is Traditional AI, which excels at analyzing data and performing specific tasks, such as detecting patterns, generating insights, automation, and prediction.
The second is Generative AI, which focuses on creating new content like text, images, and music.
The Value of AI
Companies like Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN), Alphabet, Inc. (GOOG), Microsoft Corporation (MSFT), and Meta Platforms, Inc. (META), all see the value of all AI and how it can earn them billions.
Unfortunately developing your own AI platform can cost upward of $100 million per year, a cost most companies want to avoid. So rather than developing their own AI platform, top-tier companies are partnering with NVDIA Corporation (NVDA) to use their AI platform.
Governments, municipalities, and sectors like healthcare and the automotive industry are also partnering with NVDA. As a result a significant portion of the S&P 500 Index has risen dramatically over the last 36 months.
NVDA has not only developed server platforms around AI, but they have also produced propriety computer chips known as GPU’s, which are more energy efficient and better able to deal with the more sophisticated computer demands of AI, as opposed to basic CPU’s such as those developed by Intel Corp (INTC).
